Mr Bell At The Magical Lantern Festival: A Different Perspective

IMG_6196

I’ve been trying to get tickets to visit the Chiswick House Magical Lantern Festival but I’ve not had much luck what with work commitments it seems that the times that I have off are the most popular to visit. With that in mind I decided to take a walk down there during the day to see what all the fuss was about.

It was a beautiful, bright, sunny winters day when I arrived at Chiswick House and even in daylight the lanterns didn’t disappoint, it’s quite something to see and I can only imagine what they’re like when they’re lit.

As you can see it’s very colourful and quite impressive with lots of exhibits spread over a large area of the grounds.

If like me you’ve struggled to get tickets I would really recommend going down during the day, as you can see it gives you a different perspective on things and best of all it’s free. IMG_6199 (1)

The Magical Lantern Festival at Chiswick House runs until 6th March. Hopefully I’ll be able to get myself some tickets before it closes.

I live in London and work for a large international airline but apart from being my job travel is my passion. I've been very lucky and have travelled all over the world. In this my 20th year working for the airline I decided to start photographing and writing about the places I visit including my home town London. I hope you enjoy my adventures around the world.
